Our client is one of well-loved international consumer brand with rich heritage. They are looking to hire a highly driven, dynamic, experienced APAC head of Legal to be part of the regional leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for leading a team across the APAC region (sales & distribution and manufacturing entities) and be responsible for managing the full spectrum of legal activities.
- You will manage and facilitate training on legal and regulatory issues and develop and forward-thinking legal strategies to support business objectives and stakeholder needs.
- You will also oversee and contribute to the preparation, negotiation, and interpretation of contracts, and implement policies to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- You will manage the spend, instruct and coordinate any matters with external counsels as and when necessary.
Experience:
- Qualified in United States, United Kingdom, or any Commonwealth country, and a member in good standing with a state bar.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 8 years in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- At least 5 years of managerial experience, supervising staff or leading projects.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including effective listening and the capacity to influence positive outcomes
- As China & India are the 2 keys markets in APAC, prior experience managing these crucial markets will be required.
