Centre Manager

A Centre Manager is to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the playground, ensuring a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children and their families.


Key Responsibilities:


Operational Management:

- Ensure the indoor playground is fully operational during business hours.

- Oversee the scheduling of staff, play areas, and events.

- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained, clean, and safe for use.

- Develop and implement standard operating procedures, including opening and closing routines.


Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards relevant to children’s play facilities.

- Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments of play equipment and the overall facility.

- Train staff on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and first aid.

- Handle incidents or emergencies efficiently and effectively.


Customer Experience:

- Greet and interact with children and parents to create a welcoming atmosphere.

- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly.

- Monitor customer satisfaction and make improvements to enhance the visitor experience.

- Organize and oversee special events, birthday parties, and group bookings.


Staff Management:

- Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage for all areas of the playground.

- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to maintain high service standards.

- Motivate and lead the team to deliver excellent customer service.


Financial Management:

- Prepare and manage the budget for the indoor playground.

- Monitor expenses, track income from admissions, parties, and other activities.

- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on service quality.

- Report on financial performance and make data-driven decisions to improve profitability.


Facility Maintenance:

- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the entire facility, including play areas, restrooms, and common spaces.

- Ensure all play equipment is regularly inspected and maintained.


Key Skills and Qualifications:


Childcare Knowledge:

Understanding of child development and the needs of children in a play environment.


Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate a diverse team.


Safety Awareness:

Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to ensure a safe play environment.


Customer Service:

Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with parents, caregivers, and children.


Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks, events, and responsibilities effectively.


Communication Skills:

Clear and effective communication with staff and customers.


Problem-Solving:

Ability to handle emergencies, customer complaints, and operational challenges quickly and efficiently.


Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in managing children’s facilities, is highly beneficial.


Work Environment:

This role involve working weekends, holidays, and evenings, as these are peak times for indoor playgrounds.



The manager must be comfortable working in a lively, noisy environment and interacting with children and families regularly. This role is well-suited for someone with a passion for working with children, strong management skills, and the ability to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.
