Responsibilities
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the development and delivering of Continuing Education and Training (CET) and Pre-Employment Training (PET) programmes in the areas of animal care, and veterinary nursing.
• Develop and conduct lectures, tutorials, and practicals in full-time and part-time courses.
• Manage and perform day-to-day operations at TP Animal Clinic and Wellness (TPACW) as a veterinary technician on a rotating schedule.
• Train and supervise student trainees at TPACW.
• Conduct and facilitate student-industry collaboration projects.
• Carry out administrative duties to support academic and clinic operations.
• Able to work in the evenings for CET night classes.
• Mentor students in character development and career readiness.
• Provide pastoral care for students.
Requirements
• Qualification in veterinary technology/veterinary nursing or its equivalent from recognised institutions.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant industrial experience in a vet clinic/animal hospital.
• Experience in animal rehabilitation is preferred.
• Familiar with ‘Day One Competences’ for Veterinary Nurses.
• Have a passion for developing talents, and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and adult learners.
• Keen to be involved in applied research/industry projects.
• Resourceful and able to work independently to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated capacity to work within a team.
