Role:
The Workshop Team Lead/Manager is a key role in leading the Workshop team to success and delegating the responsibilities in the day-to-day activity at the Singapore based location.
Leadership and Supervision: Workshop Team Lead/Manager manage a team of mechanics, technicians, and other workshop staff. They ensure that work is assigned efficiently, deadlines are met, and quality standards are maintained. Setting clear team goals that are realistic and achievable.
Technical Expertise: Workshop Team lead/Manager have a strong technical background and are well-versed in various aspects of workshop operations. They provide guidance to staff on complex repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a high quality and cost-effective mechanical repairs, maintenance and planned improvement service to MENCK owned, Customer owned, LMH owned main and supporting equipment
- Carry out a full range of mechanical duties working on various equipment within the workshop and other commissioning sites
- Undertake duties as required including test and inspection, reactive maintenance and installation
- Complete works in accordance with MENCK and other ACTEON OpCo’s specifications and compliance with the relevant legislation and industry best practice
- Complete and sign off worksheets, time sheets, inspection protocols, outgoing protocols and service reports
- Work to operational procedures, safe working practices and Health and Safety procedures as required
- Responsible for the care and condition of workshop equipment and tools. Provide report relating to the safe correct functioning of all equipment immediately advising the line manager of any defects requiring repair or replacement
- Provide widespread support and assistance to workshop team, warehouse/material handling, quality control and project team
- Responsible for their own self-development on a continuous basis
- At all times, carry out their responsibilities with due regard to company policy
Main Tasks:
- Preparation of work order, drawings and all necessary documents to execute the maintenance work on the equipment (MENCK/LM/LDD/Aquatic)
- Coordination and delegation of the MENCK Pte and MENCK GmbH technicians
- Filing of maintenance documents into MENCK Pte shared drive
- Reviewing of work orders, assembly drawings
- Ongoing improvements on Workshop and QC workflows procedures and processes
- Close cooperation with Equipment Management, Projects, Procurement, Logistics and Warehouse department from MENCK GmbH and Pte
- Willing to work in the workshop if the need arises
- Initiate requisitions forms for needed services, tools and equipment
- Execution of Function Acceptance Test with our Customers
- Writing of Service Reports for customers (SRCV) upon completion of maintenance and service on the equipment
- Briefing of the technicians on job scopes and safety related matters (toolbox meetings) as well as to keep accurate records of what has been discussed
- Preparation assessing of work permits
- Maintain relationship with vendors
- Ensure that internal lifting plans are prepared and adhered to with the relevant personnel
- Arrange overtime if necessary for delivery success in the best interest of MENCK PTE
- Ensure that maintenance and inspections plan for equipment, lifting gear and tools are kept up to date
