Job Summary:
The Master Barber & Salon Manager is responsible for delivering top-tier barbering services while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the salon. Key Responsibilities:
Barbering Services:
- Provide expert-level haircuts, shaves, and grooming services to clients.
- Consult with clients to determine their individual needs and preferences.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and tools in the barbering industry.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all sanitation and hygiene protocols.
- Train junior barbers and apprentices, providing guidance and mentorship to help them improve their skills.
Salon Management:
- Staff Management:Supervise and manage the barbering staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and training.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Address staff concerns and mediate conflicts when necessary.
- Customer Relations:Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and addressing client feedback.
Handle client complaints and issues, ensuring they are resolved promptly and satisfactorily.
Develop and implement customer loyalty programs to retain and attract clients.
- Business Operations:Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and appointment scheduling.
Monitor and manage inventory levels of barbering products, tools, and supplies; reorder as needed.
Analyze financial performance, prepare reports, and develop strategies to increase revenue.
Develop marketing strategies to promote the salon’s services, including social media management and local advertising.
- Health and Safety:Ensure the salon complies with all health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: Certification from a recognized barbering school; additional training in salon management is a plus.
- Experience:Several years of experience as a Master Barber.
