Assistant Sales Operation Manager

The Assistant Sales Operation Manager leads the development of boutique and department store business across Singapore, maximizing sales and ensuring profits through careful management of operations while building and nurturing relationship with landlords and other business partners to execute an effective store network strategy and ensure profitability and premium brand positioning.

Being a passionate branding ambassador and have visual merchandising insight to drive and excel in overall store performance, overseeing the day-to-day operations of all retail in achieving sales and performance targets.

This is highly hands on and collaborative role heading retail development projects while execution all retail activities, not least assisting with the Senior Sales Manager to drive Singapore’s Retail strategy and future view vision.

Retail Sales Development

  • Drive a sales results-oriented culture, through focus and transparency in retail KPIs. Identify opportunities and take action to ensure competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with all departments and fully leverage the wider organizational resources to move toward our strategic goals. Partnering closely with the sales team to ensure best-in-class stock turns and to curate effective retail activations and promotion mechanics.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service and operational efficiency in all retail touchpoints.
  • Set and drive operational sales targets, constantly striving for stretched performance achievements.
  • Involving and heading implementation planning in new retail developments projects with management

People Development

  • Constantly work to build, motivate, evaluate, and retain dynamic and effective sales teams. Inspire through regular hands-on coaching and store visits – VM coaching, sales techniques, and customer service.
  • To drive the highest service standards and customer experience in all touch points driving a “new retail” and unified commerce staff mindset.
  • Ensure sales team follow service standards and store operational practices (SOPs). Always being a firm and fair leader in addressing any conflicts.

Requirement

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field with strong business acumen and retail math
  • At least 5 years of retail or brand development management experience as an Assistant Retail Manager or equivalent.
  • Experience in mall landlord relations and working with department store concessions.
  • Proven grasp of retail concepts and retail math; rental, retail KPI’s, sales commission structures, etc.
  • Experienced in a highly sales focused, high energy, and results driven environment
  • Keen on people development and able to drive high performance sales teams
  • Good coaching, teambuilding, and people management skills
  • Ability to drive performance within teams
  • Energetic and proactive. A motivating can-do attitude is required
  • Sales and customer oriented
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
