Radiographer
A Radiographer, also known as a Diagnostic Radiographer, is a healthcare professional responsible for producing high-quality medical images using various imaging modalities such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasounds. They work closely with radiologists, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' needs and medical history
- Explain procedures and provide instructions
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Operate imaging equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound) and capture high-quality images
- Position patients correctly for imaging and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Review images for quality and accuracy
- Identify and report any abnormalities
- Maintain imaging equipment and software
- Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot technical issues
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Participate in continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements
Requirements:
- Familiar with Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Diploma or Degree in Radiography with a minimum of 4 years of work experience
- Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) of Singapore.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Patient-centric approach with excellent communication skills.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm (With 1 hour lunch break)
Saturday 8.30am to 1pm
Public Holiday Close
Salary Ranging $4,000 to $5,000 depending on experience, with 1-2 month bonus
