Position Overview:
The Senior Care Centre Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the centre, ensuring the well-being and safety of the seniors, and supervising a team of care staff. This role reports directly to the Centre Manager (CM) and requires a high level of organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Key Job Scope & Responsibilities:
1. Centre Operations
Assist CM to ensure smooth and safe operation of the centre ground. Ensure the centre adheres to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Supervise daily routine such as meal preparation, serving of meals, centre programme, review of client's status and cleaning duties of staff.
Coordinate, plan and assist to execute programmes, outing, and services with internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct/Assist in the admission process in the absence of the CM.
2. Client Care
Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans for each senior.
Conduct clinical assessments for clients on admission, regularly and when needed according to MOH service requirements.
Ensure that all seniors receive appropriate and compassionate care tailored to their needs.
Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of seniors and take action as needed.
Maintain the documentation properly and timely.
3. Team Supervision
Supervise, guide and support the Senior Care Centre Staff. Assist the CM to identify and provide training needs and development opportunities for staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Prepare the monthly Staff Roster.
To ensure the transportation schedule is planned effectively and operates smoothly and safely.
Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to promote continuous improvement.
4. Communication
Act as a liaison between the centre, clients' families, and external agencies to ensure clear and effective communication.
Address and resolve any concerns or complaints from clients or their families in a professional manner.
5. Resource Supervision
Work with CM to ensure financial sustainability of the centre. Monitor and ensure the effective and efficient use of resources and funding.
Monitor orders of the SCC supplies.
6. Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the CM detailing status of the centre including outcomes, utilization rate, client’s care, financial expenditures, programme plans, staff update, operational issues and other required information.
Ensure completion of client's file. Monitor assessment measures and ensure timely update from relevant staff.
Assist CM to prepare for MOH audit.
7. Quality Assurance
Implement quality assurance measures to continuously improve service delivery.
Conduct surveys and gather feedback from seniors and other stakeholders to assess centre programme effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Address any complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
8. Health and Safety
Ensure a safe and healthy activity environment for all participants and staff by conducting regular risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
In-charge of Fire Safety management
Liaise with Facility department for any faulty equipment.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents.
Qualifications and Certifications:
A degree or diploma in healthcare, social work, gerontology, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and standards would be an advantage.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in budgeting and financial management, ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software.

Working Conditions:
Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
Primarily indoor environment with occasional outdoor activities.
