HR Manager (Employee & Union Relations)

Descriptions:

Employee Relations

  • Develop and implement ER strategies.
  • Provide advice & guidance to HODs and HRBPs.
  • Partner with HRBPs to resolve employee concerns and complaints.
  • Conduct investigations into allegations of inappropriate conduct.
  • Ensure disciplinary issues are resolved fairly through investigations and Board of Inquiry (BOI), in accordance with the Disciplinary policy.
  • Manage staff-related whistle-blowing cases.
  • Identify legal risks and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Conduct training to HODs, HRBPs and employees to resolve workplace issues.
  • Partnership with Group Employee Relations CoE.

Union Relations

  • Build positive and harmonious Labour-Management relations.
  • Build trust and cordial working relationship between HR, Union HQ, Branch Union to resolve staff issues/ grievances amicably.
  • Partnership between Union and Management to develop and upskill employees.
  • Partnership with Union to develop effective employee engagement strategies to foster a productive and motivated workforce.
  • Plan regular Union-Management meetings/ engagement events.
  • Partnership with Group Employee Relations CoE.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, preferably in HR, or a post-graduate diploma in human resource management.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, with a good understanding of HR practices, Employment Act, Labour Law, and HR-related legislation.
  • Strong experience in working with the Union.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
