You will be responsible for system testing activities, including system testbed wiring and commissioning, system test execution for controller and I/O platforms. You will closely collaborate with System Test leads and other team members to execute firmware-centric system testing, identify system-related product failures, investigate and characterize these failures, and promptly report product defects using the designated tools and templates.
Proficiency in PLC knowledge is required to ensure defects are accurately characterized by developers and that the root cause is clearly understood when verifying the resolution provided by developers. The scope of work primarily involves system test engineering tasks to ensure high-quality products are developed.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
- Knowledge and expertise in Test Engineering processes (Agile, continuous integration, waterfall) and methods for test case design and test coverage optimization.
- Knowledge and expertise in test automation methodologies.
- Programming experience in ladder programming.
- Programming experience in scripting languages is advantageous (preferably Python).
- Experience/knowledge of industrial automation and PLC applications.
- Familiarity with controllers, I/O systems, and application software will be advantageous.
- 5 years of experience in test engineering.
- Comfortable with embedded system knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in teams, action-oriented, and possesses a strong drive for results.
- Passionate about testing and curious to explore.
- Report progress to managers, leads, and escalate issues to the project or management in a timely manner.
