My Client is a leading stable firm in Singapore.
Our client is seeking a highly qualified individual for the role of IT Production Support Manager within their Information Technology Department. This important role involves overseeing IT development and support functions to ensure seamless operations within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: The successful candidate will manage the production support function for the APAC region, leading both onsite and offshore teams.
- System Monitoring: They will oversee daily system health checks and ensure that applications are running smoothly with minimal disruption.
- Incident Management: The role requires responding to error alerts, investigating potential service disruptions, and coordinating with relevant teams for incident resolution and service recovery.
- Customer Service: They will lead efforts to restore services during incidents affecting customers in the region.
- Change Management: The candidate will collaborate with application leads to ensure thorough quality checks and diligence in deploying production changes.
- Continuous Improvement: They will focus on improving production estate management practices, including change, event, and incident management.
- Quality Control: The role involves ensuring that production changes meet all quality and control standards.
- DevOps Automation: The candidate will drive automation initiatives to streamline the delivery pipeline and reduce manual tasks during implementations.
- Performance Tracking: They will track and work to enhance service levels, response times, and resolution times for production support requests.
- Root Cause Analysis: The role includes collaborating with application teams to identify root causes of issues and develop preventive measures for future implementations.
- Governance and Assurance: They will work with infrastructure and IT risk teams on service governance and production quality assurance.
- Hands-On Support: The candidate is expected to be actively involved in resolving technical issues and supporting the team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of IT experience, including significant roles in application development and production support, with proven leadership in managing teams both onsite and remotely.
- Service Management: Experience in IT service management, application development, and implementation is required.
- DevOps Expertise: Proficiency with DevOps tools for CI/CD pipelines and a strong understanding of applications in Linux/Unix and Windows environments are necessary.
- Banking Sector Experience: The candidate should have experience leading a production support team in a banking environment.
- Shift and Weekend Availability: Ability to organize and manage teams for shift work and provide weekend support as needed.
- Process Knowledge: Familiarity with secure production environments and relevant processes and controls is essential.
- Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud-based technologies, particularly for banking applications, is a plus.
- Corporate Banking Insight: Knowledge of corporate banking applications for both internal and external users is beneficial.
- IT Risk Awareness: A basic understanding of IT risks, including cyber threats and vulnerabilities, is required.
- Skills: The candidate should possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities. They should be self-motivated, a team player, and able to manage time effectively.
- Collaboration: Experience in working with offshore teams, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders for solution implementation is important.
