XCL World Academy has a vacancy for the school year 2024-2026 for a Teacher Partner (FEP) to assist students from Grade 6 to 9. This is a full time 2 year contract position.
Main Responsibilities
- A Teacher Partner would directly work with students supporting the teachers on a daily basis with the educational program and lead classroom duties such as assisting homeworks, organizing folders, notifying parents on updates of students and assisting students during activities and breaks.
- Able to support the students with reading, writing, listening and speaking.
- Manages and interacts with children in a positive and supportive manner and would assist in execution of instructional plans by supporting children individually or in groups in the classroom.
- Build on student capabilities and differentiate to meet student needs.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of school.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with peers, showing respect, being prepared and on time, and adhering to the school wide meeting norms and team essential agreements at all times
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formative and summative assessments.
- Involve students in shared reflections during and at the end of each unit on a consistent basis.
- Evaluate the program collaboratively with teaching partners, parents and students as appropriate, using agreed flexible systems.
Person Specifications
- Minimum Advanced Certification/ Diploma in Early childhood courses or in relevant courses
- Registered with Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) would have a added advantage
- Excellent proficiency in English (reading, writing, listening and speaking)
- Proficient in the use of technology and online applications
- Preferably Certified in Child First Aid
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in working with children as a full time Homeroom Teacher Assistant would be preferred.
- Provides excellent customer service to parents, students, teachers and school leader
- Promote and market the school to relevant stakeholders where appropriately
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, parents , students and the wider school community.
- Due to employment pass limitations, candidates who do not require a pass to work in Singapore will be considered for the role.
- This is a 2 year contract position and there are opportunities for the contract to be renewed.
