Role summary:
We are looking for an ambitious individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our Commercial / Distribution team. The individual will have a positive and friendly attitude with three primary areas of responsibilities: (1) driving end-to-end deal execution; (2) managing client life cycle for investors/ funders; and (3) project managing distribution-related business enablement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
(1) Driving end-to-end deal execution and client life cycle for investors/ funders
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of deal execution from due diligence, commercial negotiation, and legal documentation to tech/ operational setup, including mutual onboarding
- Work closely with the Origination team to ensure investor materials/ investment theses are high quality and funder-ready
- Drive deal execution against ambitious timelines rallying and keeping organized cross-functional teams
- Own origination-to-distribution sales discipline by diligently maintaining deal trackers
- Actively manage funders’ due diligence processes and respond to questionnaires by delivering knowledge from various Olea teams
- Drive legal documentation and negotiation in consultation with the Origination, Legal, and Management teams
(2) Managing client life cycle for investors/ funders
- On-board new funders from signing NDAs to facilitating KYCs by working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support existing funder relationships and live transactions, ensuring high level of client satisfaction
- Conduct funder update calls/ meetings and coordinate ad hoc requests
(3) Project managing distribution-related business enablement initiatives
- Actively participate in product development in close collaboration with Origination, Legal, and Risk teams
- Project manage execution of initiatives to further Olea’s distribution capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement of Olea's systems/ tools as well as control/ governance framework
Required competencies:
- 5 years of experience in structured finance and/ or structured transaction banking
- Demonstrated ability to own deal execution and new business initiatives with confidence and a sense of urgency
- Highly articulate in verbal and written communication and to-the-point presentations
- Track record of cross-functional project management
- Growth mindset, appetite for innovation
- Motivated to join a FINTECH and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Adept with MS office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualifications (training, licences, memberships, and certifications):
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Business, Finance or equivalent is required
- Experience in the commercial/ transaction banking division with a leading global bank is a must
- Ideal candidates have experience in open account products in Trade Finance
