Overview
Reporting to the Country Manager, the Assistant HR and Admin Manager and fellow country lead team members to guide, manage and provide strategy on the people function of the company, including driving culture and organisational change, talent management & development, talent acquisition, and employer branding.
Providing strategic counsel on all people matters, this position contributes to the long-term goals around business and people development including performance management, hi-potential identification and development. The Head of HR works in close collaboration with business partners within the company to formulate people strategies that help deliver on company’s strategic direction as well as engaging employees. The position formulates and leads the implementation of HR policies and initiatives through the people team members.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Formulate and deliver on talent attraction strategies to fulfil labour resourcing requirements for the company to support organic and new business growth including new business staff mobilisation resourcing.
- Develop talent within the company through talent & performance management, hi-potential identification, succession planning, and learning & development including leadership
- Improve employee engagement and retention by embedding company culture through initiatives to build stronger leaders, stronger teams, recognition programs, company health and care programs, to improve the quality of workplace environment and enhance employee branding
- Build competitive remuneration framework to attract, motivate, reward and retain high performing employees
- Work in close collaboration with business partners within the company to formulate people strategies that help deliver on company’s strategic direction
- Build an efficient people operations process through HRIS system upgrades, operational workflow redesign, digitisation of maintenance of personnel file records, digitization of time & attendance records, and other deliverables throughout the employee lifecycle
- Manage the company’s payroll & HR operations, including statutory reporting, statutory funding claims, tax related reporting, work pass applications and renewals, benefits administration
- Build HR analytics to provide strategic lens on workforce profile
- Support management of office administration
- Responsible for management of all matters relating to Ethics and Integrity, including but not limited to:
- Co-ordination of all Ethics and Integrity training
- Review and investigate any matters referred for investigation and in accordance with the relevant policies and ensuring the confidentiality and protection of any whistleblowers;
- Review, investigate and report on any matters relating to financial misconduct or fraud which are brought to your attention;
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Preferably bilingual. Able to connect with the ground staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong foundation of payroll & statutory requirements, compensation practices, employment legislations and trends in Singapore is highly advantageous for this role.
