(A) JOB SUMMARY
- Manage daily patient's discharge and preparation of their bills including weekends and public holidays (on rotational basis).
- To coordinate requests for information by insurers, medical concierge prior to admission, inflight and post discharge.
- Establish good working relationship with insurers, medical concierge including medical clinic staff.
(B) PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist to provide bill estimation to insurers, medical concierge and any other information relating to the issuing of a LOG before patient's admission.
- Work with clinic to facilitate insurers issuing a LOG.
- All insurance guaranteed cases must be supported with a LOG from an approved insuers unless otherwise stated without which, the bill must be fully settled on the day of discharge. To advise patient to seek reimbursement from their insurers directly.
- For inflight cases, ensure all documentations provided are in order, the amount covered is sufficient to cover the bill amount otherwise to trigger an email to the insurer to top up the coverage before the patient's discharge.
- During discharge, work with BO and PSC to ensure that non-covered amount such as companion charges, foreign insurers admin fee, room difference (if any) is/are collected before patient's leave the hospital otherwise to ensures some preauthorization amount is obtained from patient's credit card before leaving the hospital.
- Work with PSC and BO staff to manage sending the final bill with interim LOG to the insurer including the discharge summary within a week from date of discharge.
- To assist insurers/medical concierge on requests for reports, summary/detailed bills, discharge summary, etc to facilitate them to process the bills.
- Final LOG will be provided by insurers/medical concierge and to forward it to BO AR team to send final bill to insurers for payment.
- Assist in reviewing workflows and processes on a regular basis.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management.
(C) REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of a polytechnic diploma graduate
- Preferably 1-2 years in a healthcare settings, preferably with some insurance background,
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- A detail oriented and ability to multitask
- 5.5 days work week 8:30am to 5:00pm / Sat or Sun 8:30am to 1pm
