Principal Responsibilities and Duties:


1. Operations Management:

a. Oversee the daily operations of the Day Activity Centre, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

b. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.

c. Monitor and manage the centre’s budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of care.

d. Organise and implement ad-hoc project as assigned by Management


2. Staff Management:

a. Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of staff, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated.

b. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.

c. Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage at all times.


3. Client Care:

a. Ensure the well-being and safety of all participants at the centre.

b. Develop and implement individualized care plans with the coaches, working closely with clients and their families.

c. Address any concerns or complaints from clients and their families in a timely and professional manner.


4. Program Development:

a. Work with the team to design, implement, and evaluate training/activities that are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to the needs of participants.

b. Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to enhance program offerings.

c. Continuously assess and improve the quality of services provided.


5. Compliance and Safety:

a. Ensure the centre operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety requirements.

b. Maintain accurate records and reports as required by regulatory bodies and the organization.

c. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards.


6. Community Engagement:

a. Foster positive relationships with the local community, stakeholders, and partners.

b. Promote the centre’s services and activities through outreach and networking efforts.

c. Represent the centre at community events and meetings


Essential Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

· At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a similar setting.

· Strong understanding of the persons with disabilties

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

· Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in Singapore.

· Able to converse in Sign Language is an advantage
