As a UI/UX Designer at Alola, you will be responsible for creating engaging and seamless experiences for a wide range of digital products. You will collaborate closely with our product management and IT engineering teams to design and implement user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing interfaces. Your expertise will guide the entire design process from concept to launch, ensuring a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics.
Responsibilities typically include:
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to gather insights for improving usability and user satisfaction.
- Create user personas, user journeys, and site maps to tailor designs to the target audience's needs.
- Design UI elements such as menus, tabs, widgets, and more, ensuring all designs adhere to our brand guidelines.
- Develop UX wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma to visualize design concepts.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to align designs with product specifications and technology constraints.
- Perform usability testing and adjust designs based on user feedback and analytics.
- Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends to identify UI/UX design best practices and emerging technologies.
- Provide and seek feedback from other team members to continually raise our bar for quality.
Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in creative services or creative operations roles
- Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and UI/UX best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and articulate design decisions
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design
- Positive, collaborative nature with strong interpersonal skills and history of building and maintaining strong, positive cooperation with all stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of Above Creative Suite (especially photoshop, illustrator, Indesign, figma) is required.
- Knowledge of CSS and UX is a bonus
- Bonus if have worked within the lifestyle, ecommerce or travel industry.
