Senior Associate/Associate (Community and Volunteer Relations)

  • To coordinate and attend to volunteer requests of service centres and departments
  • To manage and update available volunteering roles on organisation’s website and volunteer recruitment platforms
  • To look into new platforms and channels to broaden search for the right volunteers
  • To respond to volunteering inquiries from potential volunteers and keep leads warm even if there are no volunteering opportunities to match inquiries
  • To support the Volunteer Manager in streamlining volunteer management processes and improving volunteer relations, including conducting surveys with volunteers to gather insights and feedback
  • To facilitate and ensure smooth volunteer on-boarding administrative processes
  • To work closely with Volunteer Manager in organising volunteer engagement activities, volunteer training and annual volunteer recognition events
  • To support the Volunteer Manager in identifying strengths and potential in new and existing volunteers, as well as any work in creating volunteering opportunities to strengthen the ecosystem of supporters for the Organisation
  • To provide administrative support for the Volunteer Management team, such as preparation of monthly reports and compilation of data required
  • To manage volunteering statistics and keep the Volunteer Management System and other databases updated


Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to relate well with people at all levels
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good administrative skills and meticulous attention to details
  • Sound computer skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes and able to manage the Volunteer Management System. Prior experience in using CRM systems would be useful.
  • Good team player with positive attitude, as well as able to work independently
  • Exhibit sincerity, passion and maturity in promoting volunteerism
  • Experience in volunteer management or community work would be preferred
  • Alignment to the Society’s core values of being compassionate and caring, commitment, professionalism, integrity and openness to change
