We are looking for a meticulous and highly skilled Trade Support and Operations Specialist to join our client's team. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution and settlement of trades across a variety of asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, and related derivatives. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in trade lifecycle management, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end trade support, overseeing the full trade lifecycle for multiple asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, and exotic derivatives.
- Ensure precise and timely trade capture, allocation, and settlement across all asset types, maintaining high operational standards.
- Reconcile daily cash, trades, and positions with prime brokers, custodians, and counterparties, swiftly addressing and resolving any trade discrepancies or settlement issues.
- Manage corporate actions and asset servicing processes, including both mandatory and voluntary corporate actions, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Supervise the daily operations performed by outsourced middle office/operations teams, acting as the primary escalation point for resolving high-risk exceptions.
- Collaborate with the Technology team to develop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, mitigate risk, and support business growth. Contribute to system upgrades and enhancements to accommodate evolving business requirements.
- Monitor and mitigate operational risks associated with trading activities, working closely with Risk Management and Compliance teams to address control gaps and improve operational processes.
- Perform data analysis to support decision-making, identify trends in trade and operational activities, and assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5-8 years of experience in Operations, Middle Office, Trade Support, or a related role within a hedge fund, investment bank, or asset management firm.
- In-depth knowledge of the trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and middle office functions across various asset classes.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance within the hedge fund industry is an advantage.
