Job Description
- Operate tower crane controls to lift, move, and place machinery, equipment, and other large objects at construction sites.
- Inspect crane mechanisms and lifting components daily to ensure operational safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with ground personnel using radio communication to align on lifting plans and ensure safe maneuvering of loads.
- Calculate load weights and assess weather conditions to determine if lifts can be performed safely.
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on the crane to ensure continuous operation and report major malfunctions for professional repair.
- Erect and dismantle tower cranes on-site, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
- Maintain a log of crane usage, inspections, maintenance activities, and any incidents that occur during operation.
- Participate in emergency response drills and procedures specific to tower crane operations to prepare for potential job site accidents.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate in Others or equivalent.
- At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Must be familiar with MOM WSH regulations in construction sites
- Must be able to work independently and or as a team whenever the situation calls for
- Must be willing to learn on the job and adapt to different working environments as and when required
- Flexibility to work overtime when necessary
