The Position:

As STACK rapidly grows throughout the region, our ICT Engineering Team is growing in response to the increased number of projects and sites under development. As part of this growth, we seek an energetic and focused individual to join our Japan Team to provide support in the ICT design, delivery, and operational management of our data centers in Japan. Leads in all ICT matters and supporting our in-country project team in developing and maintaining accurate ICT project timelines, mapping concurrent and sequential project activities, critical path, identifying key resource (internal and external) throughout each stage of the project delivery. This also includes identifying ICT managed service providers and managing them to meet day to day operational uptime requirements. While reporting to the regional APAC team, you will be working in a flat team structure surrounded by industry leaders across all aspects of Data Centre and Real Estate Development.
In this role you will:
- Be working side by side with our Regional and in-country teams to ensure the success of our projects. Works closely with various teams to ensure timely delivery of all tasks to ensure customers’ service level agreement are met.
- Provide regular reporting to the APAC team on project timelines and progress, identifying potential gaps and risks to the business and project delivery and development recommendation to mitigate and make improvements.
- Manage virtualized infrastructure and servers to support data center applications, such as NMS, BMS, CMMS, Security Systems (Card Access, CCTV).
- Learning and understanding of security systems and supporting the business to deploy such solutions in data centers.
- Performing routine audits of systems and software and perform system backups
- Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Responsibility for system security compliance, health check & server hardening
- New accounts set-up and active directory deployment and administration, manage staff and user credentials and frameworks. Windows Server administration, AD and Group Policy Management Skills for OT systems is a must.
- Monitor utilization, availability and performance to ensure proper functioning of server systems and applications and able to proactive provide assessment and improvement on current infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving any system issues or problems
- Plan and participate in disaster recovery tests, experience in full system recovery and restoration
- Liaise and work with other technical teams including application developers and vendors
- Administer enterprise-sized VMware-based virtualization infrastructures covering vCenter and stand-alone ESXi environments.
- Design, plan, implement and administer enterprise grade servers and storage technologies in support of underlying virtualization infrastructure including building highly available server clusters in a vSphere environment
- Installing, configuring, and integrating servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure, including performing backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Review market best practice software platforms and tools and provide evaluation and recommendations for those that should be adopted by STACK Delivery APAC which will improve efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate in the continual development and refinement of our Project Delivery Playbook, Process, Tools/Platform and Basis of Design in conjunction with out SVP Engineering, APAC and the associated impact on construction / project schedules.

Must-have Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in systems administration in Windows Server 2016 and above
- At least 2 years of experience in administration of virtual infrastructures such as VMware.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in ICT Project Management, server deployment or similar role working within the Built Environment.
- Good knowledge of Linux and Container environments
- Experienced in the following key tools – Azure/Microsoft Entra ID cloud service knowledge.
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business goals.
- A forward planner who can work independently to identify and resolve project issues.
- Experience working in a data center with hands on working experience of operational technology and OT vendors is a MUST!
