On-Site Support Desktop Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated On-Site Support Desktop Engineer to provide 24/7 support across two key locations: Sengkang and Punggol. The role involves working 8-hour shifts to ensure round-the-clock technical support for our client. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, with training and standard operating procedures (SOP) provided for troubleshooting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site desktop support for end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) for troubleshooting to ensure efficient and effective resolution of technical problems.
  • Monitor, maintain, and support desktop environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Work in a rotating shift schedule to provide 24/7 coverage across two locations: Sengkang and Punggol.
  • Collaborate with the IT support team to escalate issues as needed and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software as required.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Windows Operating System.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux Operating System (training and SOPs will be provided).
  • Ability to work in a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in desktop support or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting.
