Proposal Engineer (M&E)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Proposal Engineer to join our team. As a Proposal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in preparing, developing, and delivering comprehensive proposals for potential clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather technical information, analyze client needs, and create persuasive proposals that align with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects, analyze project specifications and drawings, and determine scope of work and associated costs.
- Quantity Take-off: Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labor required for MEP installations and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate assessments.
- Budgeting and Cost-control: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor cost variations, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Tendering and Procurement: Assist in preparing tender documents, participate in procurement process, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Contract Administration: Administer and manage contracts related to MEP works, monitor contractual compliance, and resolve disputes.
- Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering, optimize project costs, and implement recommendations.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks, develop strategies to mitigate risks, and ensure project success.
- Cost Reporting: Generate regular cost reports, provide analysis and recommendations, and collaborate with project stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying / Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
- 4 years of related working experience in industrial, commercial, or data-center projects.
- Good working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical.
- Organizational skill with attention to detail, adaptable and flexible.
- Ability to work well in a team, work independently, and demonstrate initiative and commitment.
