Nurse Manager

Fortress Intelligence Pte. Ltd.

Review, formulate, develop and implement new policies to ensure efficiency of the home. Work with directors and managers in review and implementing policies to ensure smooth flow of daily operations


Duties & Responsibilities:

· Nursing Department Management: Oversee and coordinate nursing operations, ensuring adequate staffing levels, appropriate patient assignments, and efficient workflow within the nursing department.


· Staff Supervision and Development: Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.


· Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and ensure the delivery of comprehensive and individualized patient care. Monitor patient outcomes, evaluate care plans, and make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality care.


· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing homes, including nursing standards, infection control protocols, and resident rights. Stay updated with regulatory changes and implement necessary policies and procedures to maintain compliance.


· Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement: Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes. Conduct audits, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement, implementing evidence-based practices to optimize care.


· Staff Scheduling and Resource Allocation: Manage nursing staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient use of resources. Monitor and allocate resources, such as supplies and equipment, to support optimal patient care delivery.


· Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and external stakeholders. Act as a liaison between the nursing department and other departments within the nursing home.


· Staff Education and Training: Identify ongoing educational needs and provide training opportunities to nursing staff. Promote professional development, ensure competency in nursing practices and regulatory requirements, and facilitate continuing education programs.


· Resident and Family Engagement: Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, addressing concerns, ensuring open communication, and promoting resident satisfaction and well-being. Implement programs and initiatives to enhance resident engagement and quality of life.


· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of nursing department activities, patient care plans, incidents, and regulatory compliance. Prepare reports for senior management, regulatory bodies, and accreditation agencies as required.


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (preferred).

- Must be a Registered Nurse from SNB


- Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursing home or long-term care facility in Singapore.


- In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, geriatric care, and regulatory requirements governing nursing homes.


- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse nursing team.


- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.


- Sound decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills, with a focus on patient-centered care and quality improvement.


- Familiarity with budgeting and resource management principles.


- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and nursing documentation systems.


- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with healthcare industry trends and best practices.


- Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.


- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


- Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned


Location: West Coast

Work Hours: 8am to 5:30pm (44 hours a week)
