Position Overview:
We are partnering our client to seek for a dynamic and creative Podcaster to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for hosting a live daily podcast, interacting with followers, and promoting our monthly subscription service. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with receiving and responding to follower communications, selecting compelling stories, and collaborating with a Producer to create engaging live content. While active social media presence is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Follower Engagement:
- Receive and manage daily emails and direct messages (DMs) from followers.
- Read and evaluate incoming messages to identify the most interesting and relevant stories to feature on the podcast.
- Respond to followers in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive and interactive community around the podcast.
2. Content Selection:
- Curate and select exciting stories submitted by followers for discussion during the podcast.
- Work with the Producer to ensure that selected stories align with the podcast’s theme and resonate with the audience.
- Prepare talking points and questions related to the chosen stories for a live discussion.
3. Subscription Promotion:
- Actively promote the podcast's monthly subscription service during episodes, encouraging listeners to subscribe for exclusive content and benefits.
- Develop and present creative strategies to increase subscription sign-ups, including special offers, limited-time promotions, and subscriber-only episodes.
4. Live Podcast Hosting:
- Host a live podcast daily (time to be confirmed) in collaboration with the Producer.
- Engage with the live audience during the podcast, incorporating real-time interactions, feedback, and questions.
- Ensure a smooth and dynamic flow of the podcast, adapting to live events and unexpected changes with confidence.
5. Social Media Activity (Preferred):
- Although not mandatory, being active on social media is preferred to help promote the podcast and engage with the audience.
- Share podcast updates, teasers, and interact with followers on social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create social media content that drives listener engagement and subscription growth.
Requirements:
1. Skills:
- Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Excellent verbal communication and storytelling skills, with a strong ability to engage listeners.
- Strong understanding of podcast distribution platforms and strategies to maximize reach and audience engagement.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and prepare insightful questions for interviews.
