Responsibilities
• Assist the Project Manager in leading and managing the project on site and updating of project plan, progress and final reports needed for the periodic management meetings.
• Prepare costing during quotation stage, plan and manage project budget including selection and management of sub-contractors.
• Monitor compliance of all project manpower, including sub-contractors on the shipyard management system and achieve the objectives and targets related to quality, occupational health, safety, security and environment.
• Lead the daily vessel safety coordination committee meeting and manage the activities to ensure on-time results and responses to action items including follow-up with other departments, external suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Plan and manage project budget including selection and management of sub-contractors.
• Coordinate with other department managers to monitor milestones and project deadlines.
• Analyse data and information to recommend and ensure continuous process improvement.
• Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
• Ensure compliance to relevant government regulations and company’s quality, safety, health and environmental (QSHE) policies, practices and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-7 years of relevant experience in similar capacity and industry with proven track records.
• Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task
• A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Preparedness for overseas assignments.
