Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) in Bank of Singapore (“BOS”) provides investment management service to:
- high-net-worth clients who have delegated their investment decisions; and
- fund managers when appointed as the portfolio or sub-fund manager

General Description

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing discretionary portfolio management (DPM) client portfolios in adherence with CIO strategic view and DPM policies and procedures.
- Managing unit trusts and fund structures within single-asset class and multi-asset class portfolios.
- Work closely with DPM portfolio managers and research colleagues to develop well-diversified portfolios for wealth management clients of varying profiles including ultra-high net worth individuals, high net worth individuals, family offices and semi-institutional clients.
- Evaluating the risks and opportunities of investment portfolios, including monitoring holdings based on fundamentals, relative value comparison, sector and regional views.
- Track and monitor daily portfolio positions relative to clients’ mandate and investment guidelines.
- Understand clients’ needs and craft solutions according to clients’ risk appetite and preferences, through different asset classes including fixed income, equities and alternatives.
- Regularly meet with investment analysts and investee companies, including financial briefings and constructively assessing research views.
- Write portfolio commentaries and provide market updates, for internal and external clients.
- Provide equity analytics, model portfolios, and presentations for prospective clients.
- To assist fellow Portfolio Managers with client reviews, reporting and other duties as necessary to meet client and team requirements.
- Vigilance with regard to risk issues, regulatory expectations and policy requirements.
- Familiarity with ESG strategies and ESG integration.
Qualifications
Work Experience Requirements
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheet analysis and utilization
- Familiarity with financial risk models (market, credit, liquidity risk assessment and forecasting)
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Advanced skills in quantitative methods of data analysis preferred
- ESG certification preferred
- Familiarity with portfolio management tools, especially Blackrock Aladdin tools a plus
Educations Requirements
- University degree at Bachelors or Masters level
- CFA designation and CACS certified preferred
