AREAS OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Management
- Manage inventory to ensure/maintain allowable inventory vs.
monthly revenue
- Ensure driving of right parts at the right time
- Accountable for managing in-coming inventory ensure meeting
NTS allowable inventory targets.
Purchasing Management
- Accountable for Assurance of Supply by ensuring shortages are
monitored and fulfilled to meet NTS target revenues
- Accountable for timely closure of NC’s (30days to complete the
replacement of rejected part) by ensuring the buyers coordinate
the RMA’s and replacements
- Accountable for Invoice mismatch from suppliers to ensure
smooth processing of payment with finance
- Ensure buyer’s issue PO on time and updates promise dates and
communicates OOR to suppliers
Supplier Management
- Accountable for supplier OTD management and ensure
supplier’s improvement plan in place and closed for non-
performing supplier
- Work closely with supplier to secure capacity
Accountable for Lead time reduction initiatives with suppliers
Cost Management
-Drive continuous cost and lead time reduction
-Drive initiatives for Purchasing and Sourcing Operation Efficiency
-Ensure CCR’s (Request for quotation from Costing/Sales) meets
customer’s target cost and RFQ submission targets
Data Management & Compliance
- Accountable for clean-up of Overdue Open PO’s. Open Purchase Orders should only be max 1year.
- Accountable for updated and accurate Purchasing parameters in Navision not limited to Purchase info records, standard cost set-up
- Accountable updating of compliance requirement from suppliers i.e. Copy Exact re-communication, EOL, REACH, RoHS certificates, MSDS (if applicable)
- Accountable for compliance and build up (if needed) NTS ISO Processes and requirements and assist in customers audit when needed
People Management
- Lead the team of Buyers and NPI Strategic Buyers to ensure
smooth flow
- First escalation point for Purchasing and NPI sourcing issues
- Develop and hone team members talent and prepare Personal
Development Plan
- Accountable for peoples management, Leave approvals,
Performance evaluations, Job levelling exercises, training plans,
development plan
- Create a back-up system within the Purchasing and NPI Sourcing
team
- Train, new colleagues during on-boarding (when needed)
