Utility Civil Engineer
LTA - Civil Works Projects
Primary Objective:
Planning and implementation of the Utility and operations projects, permitting and ordinances for water, wastewater and drainage utility systems; manages the plan review process, all utility inspections, utility easements and Cross Connection; and provides technical support for utility operations.
Coordination on exitsting services detection, services application/submission, preparation of techniclas details and resolve technical issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing the design of utilities diversion route, supporting structure and other required structure.
- Coordinate with authorities to facilitate the work progress such as PUB, SPPG, etc.
- Engage and liaise with approved subcontractor for any services diversion works.
- Approval request submission to relevant authorities for services diversion and traffic diversion at site
- Incorporate utilities diversion plan to construction schedule.
- Planning for reinstatement, coordinate construction drawing, ability in material purchase, construction work sequence ad detailing.
- Preparation of CIAR (construction impact assessment report) for PUB with subcontractor
- Establishment of overall utility plan including short & long term
- Management of each activity for utility work on site
- Preparation & coordination with subcontractor for NCE (notification for commencement of earthworks)
- Approval for PTD (permit to dig) related utilities
- Pegging and demarcation for utilities on site
- Regular inspection / petrol / visual check for existing utility
- Establishment of emergency plan for utility
- To check daily weekly and monthly progress report before submission
- May perform or oversee and evaluate routine field testing of construction materials.
- Monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with authority requirements to get an approval for water, drainage, and other major utilities diversion Find out corridor for each utility agencies to fit required construction work Able to propose circuit and line on each utility agency (SPPG, singtel, water, sewer, other telecom agencies)

Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related qualifications.
- Minimum 3 years of utility diversion and coordination experiences preferably with LTA.
- Engineering knowledge for utility diversion and protection of existing utilities.
- Knowledge of compliance in architectural, C&S, M&E works, and construction sequence of work
- High degree of initiative with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude and a good team player
