The Role:
- Implement and manage Windows-based infrastructure and associated technologies to support enterprise operations.
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of Windows servers and systems, ensuring optimal uptime and reliability.
- Administer core Windows services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Configure and troubleshoot Hypervisor Nutanix virtualization platforms, such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Install, configure, and manage critical Windows services, including IIS, SQL Server, Exchange 2019, and Skype 2019.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support enterprise-wide solutions.
- Perform routine system and application updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain security and performance standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide level 2 and level 3 support for complex Windows-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as required.
The Requirement:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience administering Windows-based systems and infrastructure.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems, particularly Windows Server 2019.
- Strong understanding of core Windows services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of scripting languages, particularly PowerShell, for automation and task scripting.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and systems management solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and support.
- Certifications: Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Additional Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Suite (SCVMM, SCOM, SCCM, WSUS).
- Administration of Exchange 2019 and Skype 2019.
- Proficiency with NetBackup 10.x and Data Domain for backup and recovery solutions.
- Experience with Nutanix HCI for virtualization and storage solutions.
- Familiarity with NESSUS for vulnerability assessment.
- Knowledge of F5 load balancers and RSA security solutions.
- Experience using Splunk for log management and data analysis.
