Job Summary

This new role under the Frontline Enablement Centre for CIB (Corporate & Investment Banking) Coverage (“CC”, corporate relationship management team) will give the incumbent the opportunity to support multiple global initiatives and gain hands-on exposure to executing large-scale projects in a multinational financial institution.

The Frontline Enablement Centre sits within the Frontline and Business Performance Team which in turn is part of the broader CIB Business Development Team. This is a global team which owns a portfolio of productivity and frontline capability enablement tools, frontline sales processes, management and sales insights engines and recommendation tools as well as coordinate strategic workforce planning.

One of the key strategic initiatives that the incumbent will be closely involved in will be the rollout of the new Credit Analyst (CA) support model in the large CIB markets for the bank. Some of the other initiatives that the incumbent can expect to work on include (but not limited to):

• Creating internal content and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of CC bankers and support roles
• Process simplification and digitization – Work with multiple internal stakeholders to act on the feedback from frontline to drive change via initiatives for process improvement, filling existing gaps, etc
• Basic excel modelling to maintain data / MI required for capacity planning and monitoring
• Gatekeeping forum – Organizing and running a global forum to discuss upcoming changes to CC banker / analyst roles & responsibilities
• Frontline learning agenda – Support creation of a global training curriculum for frontline roles and training programs for bankers across seniority
• Graduate program proposition for CC – Working with Early Careers team on executing and gathering feedback on the Graduate program, representing the global CC business

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

• Understand CCIB business strategy and the Business Development role in driving the delivery of our client proposition, commercialisation, frontline effectiveness and efficiency

Business

• Identify opportunities to optimise CA processes – driving improved effectiveness, organisational efficiency, and up-tier the role
• Create internal content and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of CC bankers and support roles
• Create and maintain excel models for data / MI required for capacity planning and monitoring
• Ensure strong CA awareness of key operating model changes impacting clients and CC frontline roles
• Plan, curate, and work with HR to execute the flagship training program for bankers and analysts, representing the global CC business
• Work with Early Careers team on executing and gathering feedback on the Graduate program, representing the global CC business
• Organize and run a global forum to discuss upcoming changes to CC banker / analyst roles & responsibilities

• Work closely with the Frontline Enablement Centre team to ideate, execute and deliver new project-based initiatives to simplify frontline processes and day-to-day

• Ability to manage risk, make timely decisions, develop solutions and facilitate mitigating actions

• Ensure awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role

Our Ideal Candidate

· Education: Degree in Business Management or Finance or MBA.

· 5 years’ experience in either corporate banking frontline role or project management role in CIB space.

· Credit Analyst exposure will be an advantage

· Certifications: CFA or FRM will be an advantage

Role Specific Technical Competencies

· Knowledge of banking processes and policies

· Analytical thinking and strong presentation skills

· Addressing Frontline Needs – Products and Processes

· Direct experience in the frontline

· Has worked effectively across multiple markets and can navigate geographical and regulatory complexity (preferred)
