The Role:
- Candidate has to be independent and resourceful with good people management skills. Must be comfortable to work alone or with a small team.
- Possess pleasant personality to manage internal/external customers and their expectations with reference to contract.
- Possess good communication skills, such as active listening and speaking clearly, to be able to explain technical information to customers/subcon.
- Possess problem-solving skills, to be able to identify and solve issues that arise during installation.
- Competent to read and understand installation manuals and instructions, such that work can be completed efficiently and effectively.
- Competent to conduct site survey to develop deployment plans.
- Coordinating with other contractors or subcontractors to ensure the smooth completion of projects within time and budget constraints
- Manage a team/s of sub-con for installation works (cable containment/support/cabling/racks and cabinets, etc)
- Working with architects/other engineers to ensure compliance to contract requirements and meet code requirements for safety and efficiency
- Working with contractors/architects during construction to ensure that the plans are carried out accurately
- Update PM of daily/monthly progress for report generation.
- Assist the system design team to conduct testing & commissioning after successful implementation. 13. Perform maintenance on existing equipment or facilities to ensure they are operating correctly
The Requirements:
- Candidates with Railway experience will be preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in installation of electrical and communication infrastructures.
- Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent, preferred.
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willing to work outside of prime office hours as required.
- Self-motivated and Service oriented.
- Able to work independently with minimum guidance.
