Description:
Azure Cloud Engineer manages daily operations of the Azure tenant and Microsoft 365 Cloud (GCC) SaaS offerings. Responsibilities include overseeing cloud management, customer support, and ensuring readiness for cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate system requirements to teams and clients.
- Evaluate and propose software/hardware integrations.
- Define technical architecture and standards.
- Implement and document architecture; ensure standards compliance.
- Conduct operational and resiliency tests.
- Assist with technical issues and address concerns.
Skills and Attributes:
- Expertise in cloud computing, especially Azure and AWS.
- Experience in designing scalable, distributed systems and micro-services.
- Knowledge of Application, Infrastructure, and security architecture.
- Proficiency in IAAS and PAAS, with strong Azure service understanding.
- Strategic business acumen and system design skills.
- Expertise in DevOps, Agile, containers, CI/CD, and related tools.
- Experience in software and product development lifecycle.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of experience.
- Proficient in configuring and managing Azure resources using Azure Portal, CLI, PowerShell, and ARM templates.
- Experience managing resources, monitoring usage, and enforcing policies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Relevant Azure certifications (Fundamentals, Administrator, etc.) and Power Platform certifications preferred.
- Azure Development experience is a plus.
