The Research Fellow in AI and Digital Health Research Group at SERI will leverage extensive expertise in AI, data analytics, and digital health to lead and support innovative research projects in ophthalmology. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of driving research initiatives, analyzing complex data sets, and conducting market research to inform digital health strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Research:
- Lead AI-driven research projects related to ophthalmology, focusing on developing and implementing innovative AI models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with clinical researchers and healthcare professionals to integrate AI solutions into clinical workflows.
- Conduct literature reviews to stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and digital health technologies.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze complex datasets to derive insights and support research findings.
- Perform statistical analysis and other data processing techniques.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with audit guidelines throughout the research process.
Market Intelligence:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the digital health landscape.
- Analyze competitive intelligence to understand market dynamics and inform strategic decision-making.
- Prepare detailed market research reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive AI research strategy for SERI.
- Identify key areas of focus for AI research in ophthalmology, aligning with SERI’s overall mission and goals.
- Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to ensure the AI research strategy supports broader organizational objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with industry partners, healthcare organizations, and regulatory bodies to align research initiatives with market needs.
Represent SERI at conferences, workshops, and other events to share research findings and build professional networks.
Key Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, AI, Ophthalmology)
- Extensive experience in AI, data analytics, and digital health research
- Proven track record of leading and managing research projects in healthcare or a related field
- Experience with market research and competitive intelligence is a plus
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with external stakeholders
