To support the directions of the director of sales & marketing in developing and implementing an ongoing focused media, communications and community program. This programme must be strategically planned to support and enhance the hotel’s sales & marketing efforts in order to target our market and reinforce the corporate identity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Media Pitching:
Proactively develop, communicate and pitch newsworthy stories to appropriate local, regional and international media to support sales and marketing goals. Seek opportunities proactively. Produce 2 press releases per month
- Media Relations:
- Represent the hotel at media events
- Support corporate public relations goals & strategies
- Arrange interviews and press events for new product launches
- Promote the Wyndham Brand Core Values & Culture :
- Ensure consistency of image in public relations, communications and materials.
- Establish network of sponsors, suppliers, community organisations and leaders to develop multiple beneficial relationships.
- Hotel Collaterals:
- Ensure artwork production, copywriting and proof-reading of collaterals which supports public relations campaigns
- Oversee all hotel communication (EDMs, digital media, etc.) – work in parallel with the in-house design team, respective departments and corporate office.
- Promotions for Food & Beverage:
- Assisting and managing the development, coordination, and execution of all communications activities, with a focus on property F&B promotions and campaigns
- Support F&B department with promotion creation, execution and communications and digital presence for all F&B venues.
- Social Media/Website maintenance:
- Oversees all digital media presence and content for hotel: company's website, third-party sites, OTA visuals/copy.
- Oversee all social media initiatives for the hotel & F&B on Instagram, TikTok
- Manage social media advertising campaigns and efforts
- Regularly monitor and update all Events, Specials, Packages and hotel information on the hotel website
- Partnership and Programming:
Discover new & nurture existing relationships with local partners that bring both culturally relevant and brand-aligned events and activations to the hotel that create ancillary revenue, grow audience, introduce the brand to new guests and create press value.
- Promotions:
Work with Sales and other departments to regularly create packages, promotions, and offers in order to ensure hotel meets revenue and reaches new audiences while maintaining brand standards
- Public Relations & Photo Shoot:
- Build and execute a yearly/quarterly/monthly KOL Plan.
- Write press releases and distributes to all appropriate publications.
- Build and execute a yearly/quarterly/monthly Public Relations plan.
- Oversee all corporate image and film shoot requests and work with Corporate office for approval and execution at the hotel. Work directly with the relevant departments to effectively execute the shoot and all its needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possesses Diploma/Degree in Marketing Communications
- At least 3 years of experience in the hotel industry in the same capacity
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
- Must possess excellent communication and organisational skills
- Possess superb understanding of the Public Relations/Media landscape
- Strong knowledge of video editing, HTML/JavaScript, digital technologies and graphic design
- Has strong and extensive network and relationship with media contacts
- Strong local connection within Singapore’s cultural industries (music, art, film)
- Work well under pressure and attention to detail. Self-motivated, able to work independently, handle time sensitive projects and meeting deadlines
