We are looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and execution as we scale globally.
Job Overview:
As the CTO, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution of our conversational AI solutions. You will lead and mentor our engineering team, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and deployment of our products. Your role will involve balancing innovation with technical feasibility, ensuring our solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Strategy & Vision: Define and drive the company's technology strategy to support business goals. Stay ahead of the curve with emerging trends in AI, NLP, and conversational technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire the engineering team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Product Development: Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of conversational AI solutions. Ensure the technology stack is scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, data science, and business teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Innovation & R&D: Drive research and development efforts to explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance our conversational AI products.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the technical spokesperson for the company, effectively communicating technical strategies and developments to internal and external stakeholders, including investors and customers.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage the technology budget, ensuring optimal use of resources while balancing innovation and cost-efficiency.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards and best practices for security, particularly given the international nature of the team and operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CTO, or similar leadership role in a tech startup
- Deep understanding and experience in AI, NLP, and machine learning technologies, with a focus on conversational AI.
- Experience managing and scaling distributed engineering teams, preferably with experience working with regional teams.
- Strong knowledge of software development, architecture, and agile methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to AI and international operations.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable to effectively communicate with the engineering team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced technical degrees are a plus.
