Research Assistant, Health Informatics
We are recruiting a Research Assistant who is competent in the field of health sciences to contribute to the clinical data provision and health informatics in the SG100K study, the Population and Global Health Research Group @ Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and National Precision Medicine Singapore. We aim to improve patient outcomes through new insights into the Asian genome and data-driven healthcare solutions.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Take part in the day-to-day work of the lab. Assist in building, executing, and monitoring of Quality Control platform of large-scale epidemiological data for internal and external use
- Assist in verifying data request, extracting, and distributing data for research collaborators in line with PDPA and good data practice, managing data-related queries from collaborators
- Assist in providing ad-hoc summary statistics, report, and related information for esteemed stakeholders
- Assist in building, testing, and managing clinical endpoint coding, and other health informatics datasets in collaboration with key partners
- Assist in scientific analysis, manuscript writing and work-in-progress presentations in line with expected working standards of the research group
Key Competencies and Requirements:
- BSc degree in health sciences, biological sciences, biomedical sciences, public health, or related field
- Proficient in data analytics using SPSS/SAS/Stata or similar platform
- Experience in syntax writing/ coding/ R or related language is advantageous but not compulsory
- Experience working with large-scale clinical research data or survey data is advantageous but not compulsory
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to drive projects proactively.
- Capable of independently working on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate effectively in a highly diverse and interdisciplinary team.
