RESPONSIBILITIES:
To improve manufacturing methods and maintain assembly systems.
DUTIES:
1. Operate and monitor machinery on the assembly line to ensure smooth operation
2. Conduct routine maintenance tasks on machinery as needed
3. Identify and address any issues with machine operation
4. Utilise mechanical and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair production machines
5. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance
6. Address electrical issues as they arise to minimise downtime
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in quality, productivity and cost reduction
8. Develop and implement modifications to equipment and processes to enhance efficiency and performance
9. Plan and execute improvement projects from conception to completion
10. Continuously evaluate existing processes and practices to identify opportunities for optimisation
11. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and product quality
12. Develop and update programming for automated production equipment to optimise performance
13. Provide training to operators on the operation and maintenance of automated equipment as necessary
14. Conduct kerosene washing to remove contaminants from ball bearings, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to quality standards
15. Perform Anderon test to assess quality and integrity of ball bearings, documenting results accurately
16. Conduct visual inspections to identify defects or abnormalities in the manufacturing process, promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel
17. Compile audit work papers and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
18. Assist in the development of audit protocols and procedures
19. Perform other administrative duties as assigned
20. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
21. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in work areas to promote efficiency and safety
22. To review and recommend changes for department procedures for work environment and safety aspects (E.g. IATF 16949, ISO14001, Safety Management Systems, etc.)
23. To attend meetings, reviews, discussion and coordinate with Superior in achievement of the department’s target and yield rate.
