IT Infrastructure and Facilities Project Manager – 12-month renewable contract
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of infrastructure projects supporting our business operations and project teams. The ideal candidate will manage project schedules, resource planning, and risk mitigation, while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Lead projects from initiation through to closing, ensuring all phases are effectively managed and completed.
- Schedule and Budget Oversight: Develop and maintain project schedules, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
- Cost Estimation: Provide accurate IT cost estimates based on project deliverables and requirements.
- Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement process, including ordering IT materials and complying with procurement protocols.
- RFQ/RFP Leadership: Lead the Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP) processes as needed.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and address any risks or issues impacting project timelines and deliverables. Develop and implement migration plans and corrective actions.
- Status Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly project status reports and conduct regular status meetings with team members and stakeholders.
- Project Documentation: Create and maintain project documentation, including lessons learned and best practices to enhance future projects.
- Infrastructure Project Management: Manage IT infrastructure projects including office renovations, hotel renovations, attraction enhancements, and casino renovations.
- Technical Expertise: Oversee network infrastructure upgrades, IT cabling installations, and related technical management tasks.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a degree in Information Technology, System Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of project management and/or consulting experience, with 2 years specifically in network infrastructure upgrade/integration and IT cabling installation.
Certifications:
- External Project Management Certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP).
- Knowledge of Project Management Methodology is essential.
Technical Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience with network switches and Wireless Access Points (AP) implementation.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT structured cabling with the ability to lead cabling design.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD and understanding floor plans for designing IT infrastructure.
- Construction Experience: Experience with construction site management and site progress checks. Familiarity with construction management methods for both real estate and IT projects is required.
