Job Summary
The job holder will be responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring and supporting production activities on site.
Production Support
- Support the daily production activities to meet production schedules, quality and cost targets
- Support SDM/Shutdown/Start-up activities being planned or unplanned and Management of Change (MOC) for operational improvements
- Routine monitoring of DCS process parameters to detect problems/potential problems for trouble prevention
- Routine monitoring of routine sampling points results to detect problems/potential problems for trouble prevention
- Provide prompt operational support during silent hours when there are any plant upsetso Provide prompt advice and troubleshooting support to production department the activities of the plant facility, including times of plant upsets during silent hours
- Monitor process performance / unit consumption for raw materials, chemicals and utilities through VCC (Variable Component Cost) monitoring, keeping VCC up to date with PI system data
- Assist in training the Production Department members and other company members when requiredo Conduct routine investigation to evaluate the causes of plant losses by participating in plant trouble root cause analysis (ie. Compressor trouble)
- Participate in design team for debottlenecking / new plant project as required
- Join in project and taskforce study for new project
- Keep routine and close communication with Corporate design and manufacturing excellence team
- SMART manufacturing group meeting and actions follow up
- Alarm / manual action reduction group meeting and actions follow up
- Maintain and troubleshoot Elog system
- Coordinate with external parties on chemicals and utilities consumption during routine and TAR period
- Verify and prepare monthly utilities consumption data timely at the beginning of the month
- Verify month consumption data before submitting to Finance
- Conduct operational training / briefing for shift teams as and when required
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by superiors from time to time
Documentation
- Process and manage the Management of Change for operational improvements
- Update and compile Weekly Unit Consumption for monitoring purposes
- Maintain filing system for the Manufacturing Excellence team
- Support the shift teams in loss minimization by implementing procedural countermeasures
- To assist Production Team to conduct Purchase Request (PR) / Good Receive (GR) through SAP
- Assist the team in the preparation of TAR documents
- Make and update shutdown / startup checklist and schedule
- Prepare monthly production plan based on business needs and adjust the plan in accordance to operational needs or business environment
- To prepare / revise and upload the production plan with input from business weekly meeting (Every month)
- Do gas nomination with supplier for natural gas supply
- Compile monthly production report in relation to reliability and alarm rationalization for submission to INEOS manufacturing excellence team
- Make and submit production / reliability data on a monthly basis
- Compile weekly production report for business / top management team
- Prepare and send run rate data to business team and management at beginning of every week
- Maintain and upkeep SDS (Safety Data Sheets) registry for department – update and revise SDS list routinely
Safety
- Participate in incident / accident investigation meeting
- Cooperate in the implementation of the company’s safe work practices and other arrangements necessary for achieving the Safety policy and associated objectives, to study and implement gap closure actions too
- Report promptly any accident and near miss, including minor injury, equipment / material damage, chemical spillage etc
- Participate in incident / accident investigation meeting by taking part in evidence collection and root cause study for any safety incident
- Participate in HAZOP Review/ Risk Assessment / KY sessions / PSSR / PRD as auditor
- Join in HAZOP team, review to clear up backlog (deadline 2025)
Compliance
- Participate in various audits and follow –up when required (ISO9k / 14k / 45k audit)
- Review and revise SOPs on a routine basis
