Job responsibilities:
- Teaching Tamil as second language for Primary Year 1 to 5 Cambridge Programmes.
- Knowledge to teach Tamil as second language in Cambridge Curriculum is preferred.
- Able to teach Tamil subject as second language across all grades from primary, to lower secondary, and upper secondary would be an added advantage.
- Willing to be given lower primary grade level.
- Should acquire pedagogical qualification and must be able to teach at least one other course modules such as ICT (Computer Science), Math, or Science.
- Will sit as an Advisory Teacher and Subject Teacher for other grades.
- Dynamic and able to teach with expertise in Cambridge/IB curriculum (with proficiency and mastery in either ICT, Mathematics, or Science modules).
- Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age students.
- Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
- Planning, preparing, and presenting differentiated lessons that cater the needs of the whole ability range within their class.
- Motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative class activities.
- Preparing, marking, and providing feedback to facilitate positive student development.
- Meeting requirements for the assessment. Records, evaluates, and reports student’s development.
- Providing feedback to parents on students progress.
Working collaboratively with others to plan and coordinate work. - Organising and taking part for school events, outings, and activities.
- Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as and when required.
Requirement:
- Possess a minimum educational certificate in Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent.
- At least 3 year(s) of relevant teaching experience in Singapore Schools.
- With Pedagogical Certification Qualifications ie., CICTL
- Exposure in other international curriculum such as Cambridge/IB PYP MYP DIP/IGCSE/CBSE/ICSE would be an added advantage.
- Who can teach and conversant in Tamil as second language is a must.
Teacher Welfare:
