Job Overview:

Valores Global is seeking a proactive and driven Green Energy Market Engagement Specialist to identify and understand the needs of potential clients in the green power trading sector. The ideal candidate will excel in converting cold leads into warm prospects, building strong relationships, and gathering critical information about their needs. They will be responsible for consistently and proactively providing updates on the status of their leads and pipeline, ensuring the team is always informed of their progress. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, values communication, and enjoys being an integral part of a dynamic team focused on sustainable energy solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

Prospect Research

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential leads and prospects in the environmental commodities, solar projects and electric vehicle sector.
  • Gather and analyze information about prospects' needs, preferences, and pain points related to solutions, including but not limited to electric vehicles, renewable energy certificates, carbon credits, and solar projects.

Lead Conversion

  • Engage with cold leads, nurturing them through consistent communication to convert them into warm prospects.
  • Develop strategies to effectively move prospects through the sales funnel by addressing their concerns and providing relevant information.
  • Use persuasive communication techniques to build interest and trust with potential clients.

Relationship Building

  • Initiate and maintain contact with prospects through various communication channels (phone, email, social media, etc.).
  • Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each prospect's business requirements related to environmental commodities and sustainability goals.

Needs Assessment

  • Conduct detailed needs assessments with prospects to determine their specific requirements for green energy solutions.
  • Present tailored solutions or recommendations based on the identified needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure prospects’ needs are met through appropriate product or service offerings.

Proactive Reporting & Communication

  • Consistently and proactively provide updates on the status of leads and the sales pipeline to the team.
  • Take pride in keeping the team informed and aligned with the ongoing relationship-building process.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, sharing updates, and contributing to strategy discussions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Constantly seek ways to improve the fact-finding, lead conversion, and relationship-building process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, particularly in the green power trading and sustainability sectors, and adjust approaches accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to build rapport with prospects.
  • Experience in sales, customer relationship management, or market research, particularly in the green energy, sustainability, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to convert cold leads into warm prospects through strategic engagement.
  • Ability to conduct detailed needs assessments and provide solutions tailored to prospects’ specific requirements.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other tools for tracking and reporting progress.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of responsibility and pride in one’s work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Keen interest in green energy, sustainability, and promoting environmentally responsible solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Track record in sales.
  • Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in renewable energy, carbon markets, and sustainability projects.
  • Experience in conducting market research or fact-finding missions.
