The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microstructure characterization and mechanical property testing on 3D-printed mechanical parts.
- Develop a machine learning model for high-throughput evaluation of the mechanical properties of 3D-printed metallic parts.
- Collaborate with other group members (including PhD students and research staff).
- Publish research findings in reputable international journals.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
- In-depth knowledge in metallic materials and additive manufacturing.
- Good publication record (at least one first-author paper in international journals).
- Experimental skills in materials characterization and properties testing.
- Strong self-motivation and responsibility for research/work.
- Good communication and writing in English as required for research work.
