Content Producer | Campaign

Haymarket is seeking an experienced Content Producer for Campaign. You will be tasked specifically with growing the flagship event Campaign360 as well as supporting individual events to maximise delegate and sponsorship revenue and adding your creativity and ideas to formats and content.


The successful candidate will get exposure with the most senior industry practitioners, senior business executives of the marcoms industry as well as specialists within internal departments to develop commercially-compelling, content-led programmes that are refreshed, engaging, interactive and insightful.

Overall responsibility

You are responsible for helping maximise delegate and sponsorship revenue for conferences through top-level production and marketing for Haymarket’s marcoms brand, Campaign.


This will involve in-depth telephone/desk research into target markets, identifying commercially attractive topics, writing programmes and copy, recruiting speakers and executing an effective marketing campaign within set budget and deadlines.


You will also liaise with speakers and sponsors and ensure the smooth running of events on-site. You should consistently demonstrate excellent telephone, written, and face-to-face skills as well as a keen interest in innovating the work of the conferences department. Confidence and professionalism, which includes speaking to senior C-suite level constituents is a must.


As a conference producer, you will also be expected to generate topics through your research, publications and relationships and need very little management support through the production process. You will be tasked specifically with growing individual events and increasing their profitability as well as identifying and launching selective new event series.


Specific responsibilities include:

Produce compelling agendas featuring key industry leaders through in-depth research


  • Understand what makes the market tick, what are the pain points, what information do delegates need to make real business decisions
  • Recruit and liaise with speakers and sponsors to ensure smooth running of virtual and live events
  • Build relationships in industry to attract the highest profile speakers and sponsors
  • Coordinate and manage logistical issues, for virtual events or events on-site
  • Know how to identify the opportunities to help sales hit their targets

Personal specifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B conference/events/content production (preferred: conference production, strategic marketing, content development or a related position involving commercial research, business planning, project management in a deadline-driven environment)
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Understanding of marketing, advertising and tech industries, demonstrating versatility in subject matter, is able to write programmes for different industries and different topics
  • Articulate and well-spoken with native-level English skills.
  • A team player that would demonstrate maturity, professionalism and potential for leadership.
  • Ability to start a new event cycle while completing the production of a previous event, ability to multi-task is key
  • Commercial and customer-focused mindset, with the ability to translate market requirements into a well-received programme.
  • Fast learner and efficient researcher with ability to launch a project from scratch
  • Confidence and charisma to build relationships and identify commercial opportunities
  • Takes deadline seriously and adheres to them
  • Resilience with a high level of self-motivation and discipline
  • Determined to succeed while carrying a positive attitude internally and externally
  • Highly creative, with the ability to brainstorm new ideas and concepts
  • Attention to detail is a non-negotiable
  • Able to write compelling copy for events marketing collateral, and to act as the overall project manager for events
  • Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Willing to travel to different markets to execute event and determine latest trends.

You will be measured and incentivised in a number of ways:

  • Conference revenue and profitability
  • Productivity
  • Quality of research, identification of hot topics & programme writing
  • Agenda quality – from research to on the day
  • Marketing quality and adherence to timelines– from copy to final plan & budget
  • On the day – evaluation forms, inter-team and client feedback

These key areas of your knowledge, skill and attitude will form the basis of your formal appraisal
