Job Description:
We're looking for a skilled Business Central Technical Consultant to join our IT team. The successful candidate will report to and work closely with our existing senior Business Central specialist to manage and enhance our Dynamics 365 Business Central environments, which include both an on-premise setup and smaller cloud-based instances with fewer customisations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Implement, execute, and support customizations in Dynamics 365 BC for Navig8's internal projects.
· Engage with internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements, scope modifications, and custom developments.
· Design, develop, and test core Dynamics 365 Business Central applications.
· Customize, design, and modify default reporting in Dynamics 365 BC.
· Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and design documents.
· Provide technical recommendations for installations, modifications, and custom developments.
· Ensure adherence to development best practices within the team.
· Conduct code reviews and mentor other team members to ensure quality and consistency.
· Prepare documentation for customisations.
· Identify opportunities for software or service improvements, including training, business process consulting, and development.
Requirements:
· Diploma or University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accountancy, or related disciplines.
· Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in the design, configuration, and support of Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV2016/2017/2018.
· Proficiency in C/AL, with experience in AL.
· An understanding of Events, Subscribers, and Dynamics NAV Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON).
· Ability to develop and create Business Central APIs, as well as work with third-party APIs.
· Knowledge of data import/export with third-party programs.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
