To organise and lead preventive & corrective maintenance, as well as participate in major upgrading work
in order to fulfil regulatory / insurance / statutory / safety & health and production requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned outages effectively and complying with regulatory, safety and production requirement
- Allocate manpower/ resources for routine needs
- Lead and mentor junior engineers on overhaul for assigned plant to minimize outage duration
- Follow up with unexpected findings during inspections and implement corrective measures
- Direct and coordinate re-commissioning of overhauled equipment with other sections
- Organize and manage the servicing, installation and assembling work for plant equipment
- Assist in reviewing the existing maintenance plans and regime
- Ensure prompt response to corrective maintenance
- Analyze the breakdown equipment and allocate appropriate resources
- Assign work and ensure completion within deadline
- Procurement of spares and services
- Review and recommend spares based on past consumption patterns in order to determine the requirements on optimum usage basis
- Certify work done and process work completion certificate in order to facilitate contractual payments
- Ensure works are carried out in compliance to the safety and Statutory requirement
- Manage all statutory records and monitor expiry dates of lifting equipment, etc.
- Liaise and arrange with relevant authorities for site inspection and testing
- Ensure periodical inspection of testing of black start diesel generators are carried out
- Develop work instruction
- Carry out administrative work of the sub-group in section
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB)
- At least 5 years experience on operational & maintenance aspects of large capacity gas turbines and associated auxiliaries
