Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for research fellow in the Centre for Sleep & Cognition, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Our group develops machine learning algorithms to automatically generate discoveries from large-scale brain imaging data. We seek to discover fundamental principles of brain network organization, how brain networks are organized to support cognition and how brain networks are disrupted in mental disorders.
Key attractions are access to a high-performance computing cluster as well as collaboration opportunities with an excellent network of domestic and international scientists and doctors. Appointments will be made on a contractual basis. Ideal start date is Nov 2024.
Purpose of the post
The research fellow (RF) will apply machine learning and graph theoretic tools to gain insights into aging and aging-related disorders from MRI data.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Research Fellow (RF) will apply machine learning and graph theoretic tools to gain insights into aging and aging-related disorders from MRI data.
In addition, the RF will
- Oversee the general management of the project;
- Provide administrative support to the project, such as organizing regular meetings to maintain regular communication with other members of the research team and collaborate with the study sites;
- Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures;
- Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.
Qualifications
The applicant should have
- A PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience or other related field
- Strong publication record in aging research
- Significant experience in applying machine learning and graph theoretic tools to analyze brain MRI data
