The Performance Pathways Science team fulfils a unique role within the Singapore sport eco-system, providing holistic support to youth athletes and creating sustainable athletic talent development environments to facilitate long-term success. As a Performance Pathways Scientist, you will be required to have the breadth of understanding regarding areas pertaining to youth athlete development and deep knowledge in the areas of nutrition, dietetics and/or physiology. You will work as part of a trans-disciplinary team to support key stakeholders within the eco-system, including National Sport Associations, schools, coaches and parents. You will also be provided with opportunities to conduct, present and publish scientific research in the area of sport nutrition and youth athlete development.
Requirements
- A degree in Sport Science, Nutrition or related field
- A postgraduate qualification in Sport Nutrition, Dietetics, Physiology or related field is an advantage
- Certified (or potential to be certified) by the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA) or similar
- Exposure to working in a talent development environment catering to a youth population
- Breadth of knowledge and/or certification in other Sport Science disciplines
- Understanding of data analysis and/or statistics packages (e.g. SPSS, MATLAB, R, Python etc.)
- Have a passion for sport with active involvement either as an athlete, coach or volunteer.
