Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of mechanical and electrical (M&E) activities during construction project
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards for M&E systems
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop detailed M&E plans and specification
- Manage and supervise M&E Subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality workmanship and timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Monitor progress and performance of M&E works, identifying any deviation or issues and implementing corrective measures as required
- Collaborate with project managers and other relevant departments to develop project schedules and budgets for M&E works
- Conduct regular inspection and quality checks to ensure M&E installations are by design specifications and project requirements
- Review and approve M&E shop drawings, technical submittals, material selection
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on M&E matters resolving any technical issues that may arise during construction
- Coordinate with utility providers and local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for M&E installations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering recognized by PEB, Singapore
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience as M&E Manager, preferably in building construction projects
- Strong Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, and fire protection
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, safety standards, and local requirements (such as Green Mark, DFMA, DFS, Smart FM, etc.,) related to M&E Installation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate a diverse team of stakeholder
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools for M&E project management, such as AUTOCAD, REVIT, or similar application
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines
- Candidates with design experience or has completed hospital projects will be added advantage.
