What You Will Do:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including repairs, on Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Order Fulfillment Systems (OFS), and sortation systems.
- Conduct routine electrical and mechanical maintenance for Autostore robots, putaway/pick ports, and conveyor systems; document all maintenance activities.
- Address electrical, mechanical, and software issues as they arise, providing ad-hoc maintenance.
- Plan and execute major system repairs or overhauls, either personally or by coordinating with contractors.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, operations team members, supervisors, and IT teams.
- Resolve equipment faults promptly and ensure the quality of repair work.
- Report faults to the manager in a timely manner.
- Identify and report health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage in the workplace.
- Utilize personal protective equipment appropriately and comply with workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately and on time; submit necessary records to vendor systems for warranty purposes.
- Train off-shift personnel on minor equipment issue resolution and establish communication protocols with off-shifts.
- Actively contribute to a safety culture within the organization.
- Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet specifications and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with control engineering, industrial automation (conveyors), and maintenance of plant machinery and material handling equipment.
- Proficiency in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), including Siemens S7 300/400/1200/1500 and Omron CX-Programmer.
- Familiarity with SIMATIC MicroBox PC, Siemens touch panels, and control components.
- Experience with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems, particularly Simatic WinCC.
- Knowledge of protocols such as ProfibusDP, Profinet, Ethernet, and AS-i Bus, along with testing equipment.
- Experience with variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and inverters, including SEW EuroDrive, SEW Moviaxis, SIEMENS Inverter, and KEB Inverter F4/F5.
- Familiarity with SAP and warehousing management systems.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
